Amazing Instant Online Animated Banner Maker

Here's something that's fun to play with. This site is an online demonstration of the VideoCraft GIF Animator, a shareware program that allows you to create animated text Gifs and banners. On this page, you can enter some text, select from 18 different effects, then click on "make your banner". Your banner will then be created. The down side is that in this demonstration, you have no control over text size or color, so your ability to create interesting banners are limited.

 

The Banner Generator

This nifty little utility that allows you to create text banners without any special graphics software by simply filling in the blanks and selecting options. It offers over 100 different fonts, the ability to select your own colors, about 10 effects that you can apply to your image, and several other options.

A very nice tool that makes it easy to experiment with the various options for opening new browser windows. All you need do is follow the easy instructions and fill out the form, then click on the "View Source" button. Check the "see window" box if you'd like to actually see what your popup window will look like. After clicking the button, you'll be given copy and paste JavaScript code that can be placed in your web page.

 

BUILDER.COM - Web authoring - Web development for 4.0 browsers - get started with cascading style sheets - try the Style-o-Mattic

A very cool tool for playing around with, and learning, style sheets. The Style-o-Matic allows you to enter text into a box, then apply style sheets to that text. When you've got it looking the way you want, the Style-o-Matic can then give you the source code needed to add the style sheet to your pages.

 

cooltext.com: Online Logo Generator

An online utility that allows you to easily create logos for your web pages. This utility allows you to select from about 10 different logo styles and about 25 different fonts for the text. After selecting a style of the logo you'd like to create, a Java applet will come up allowing you to select options such as the text to be on the logo, the font size, the font style, and in some cases background color.

 

Frames Decoder

Here's a great way to generate the code to create a framed page. First, click on the number of windows you'd like your framed page to have. Then click on the picture representing the basic arrangement for your frames. You will then get the HTML code that is required to make that page as well as some brief instructions on how to make it work.

 

FrameShop

Having problems figuring out how to use frames on your page? Then check this out! FrameShop allows you to create page templates containing by simply filling out a few blanks. Fill in the provided form, click "Frame Me", then save the resulting page to your hard drive where you can then modify it so that your pages are displayed in the proper frames. Some knowledge of frames is recommended.

 

GIFCruncher - Free GIF Optimizer - Reduce GIF sizes by 90%!

This tool allows you so reduce the size of your .gif images so that your web pages will load faster. You can have it optimize images that are either on your web site or your hard drive.

 

GIF Lube

GIF Lube helps your page load faster by reducing the size of an image. It reduces image size by reducing the number of colors in the image. GIF Lube also allows you to compress and convert your image into GIF or JPG formats. Simply enter the location of your image (either from your webspace or your hard drive), click the "Start" button, then review the different images it creates and select the one you like.

A nifty online tool that claims to reduce the size of your GIF web page images up to 90%. Images to convert can be located either on your web server on on your hard drive. Once you've filled in the blanks, you're given several versions of the converted image to choose from.

 

Infinite Fish: RollOver MegaCoder

This tool will automatically generate the JavaScript code needed to change images when the mouse cursor is held over an image (rollover). All you need to do is fill in the blanks and click the "Generate Code" button, then copy and paste the provided code into your web page. It will also allow you to preview the rollover as well as to detect the dimensions of your image automatically and create the code needed to preload your images.

 

The JPEG Wizard

A very cool online tool that will reduce the file size of your JPEG images so that they'll load faster on your web pages. Simply select an image from your hard drive (there's a browse option that allows you to search your hard drive), click the "Submit Image" button, and you'll be shown a page with your original image and three reduced images.

 

MediaBuilder ButtonMaker

Make buttons the easy way. This online tool will take any .gif image and allow you to "buttonize". You have control over four parameters... button height, border, drop shadow, and up/down state. Very cool and easy to use. This site also offers a huge collection of over 10,000 web page images.

 

MediaBuilder GifOptimizer

An online tool that will allow you to take any .gif image and reduce it's size up to 75% to allow for faster loading.

 

META Tag Builder

A very cool online tool that helps you build META tags for maximizing your exposure when your pages are catalogued by some search engines. Simply fill in the blanks, click on "Create HTML", then copy and paste the generated code into your own page.

A free online tool that allows you to check either a single page or your entire web site (up to 200 pages) for invalid or broken links.

 

NetMechanic Image Size Reduction and Optimization

A very cool free tool for optimizing your images for the web. Enter the URL of any graphic and let the GIF Bot optimized and reduce the size of your images so that they'll load faster. This tool also allows you to convert images between .jpg and .gif formats.

Another excellent interactive online graphics generator. You can create customized graphics of all kinds including buttons, logos, and more. Customized graphics are generated inline, so your browser needs the ability to grab inlined images.

 

Roller - The Junction's JavaScript Rollover Maker

A cool online tool that will help you to easily create javascript "rollovers" for changing an image when the mouse is moved over it. With this tool, you can also specify sounds to be played when the mouse is either moved over the image, or the image is clicked. If you're confused about how to achieve this effect, this tool should prove to be very useful.

 

TableMaker

Having problems getting your tables to work properly? This site might be the solution. It allows you to create tables by simply filling in the blanks and then clicking "Make Table". Your table will then appear formatted on a page along with a text box that contains the code used to create the table. If you like what you see, just cut and paste from the text box into your web page.

 

Ulead Graphics Optimization Toolkit

Take your images (either off your hard drive or from your webspace) and optimize them to make them smaller, or convert them between the GIF, JPG, or PNG formats.
